Chelmsford City travel to Welling United in the National League South Playoff Semi-Finals on Sunday 5th May 2019. (3pm KO)
Chelmsford City will be looking to seal a place in the Playoff Final with a win over Welling United at Park View Road.
A 4th place finish for the Clarets was enough for spot in the Playoff Semi-Finals after Concord Rangers were expelled due to National League ground rulings, despite finishing 6th in the table.
The two teams played each other as recently as Good Friday, where the Wings ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Bradley Goldberg in the first-half. City were also reduced to 10-men after Chez Isaac was sent off for a professional foul in the first-half. A spirited second-half performance wasn't enough for the Clarets to get themselves back into the game and returned back to Essex empty-handed.
The winners on Sunday will face either Woking or Wealdstone, who take on each other at the Laithwaite Community Stadium in the other Playoff Semi-Final on Sunday afternoon.
Manager, Rod Stringer said:
"We know that it'll be tough. We've played them [Welling United] twice this year; drew here [at home] and got beat [away] the other week. I'm confident though.
"We'll go there in good spirits. We have more players available this time round that what we had last time round and we've got nothing to fear.
"They [Welling] have had a very good season, but they're beatable. I think it'll be down to who shows up on the day and keeps their bottle."
City have no fresh injury concerns and should have a fully fit squad to choose from.
