On 1st March 2019, Jodie Chesney was fatally stabbed in the back as she sat in a park with friends in Harold Hill, she was just 17 years old.
This was a senseless attack with no clear motive, although four suspects are being charged with Murder at the Old Bailey in September.
This football match at Dagenham & Redbridge FC (Jodie’s hometown) will be the launch of the Jodie Chesney Foundation. Our mission is to help with the reduction of knife crime in London and surrounding counties, along with the backing of the government, local leaders and the community.
Jodie was an incredibly kind young woman and we want to create a legacy with the Jodie Chesney Foundation to inspire a new generation WITHOUT knife crime!
