"Despite now living in Birmingham, I was born and raised in Chelmsford. I grew up in Roxwell and lived there until I was 17. I went to Hylands School in Writtle and I was there right up until the point I went to University.
"I have been blessed with the chance to live, work and travel to so many different places in the UK and around the world but Chelmsford is still somewhere I continue to call "home". My family still live there, many of my friends from school are based there and it is a place of so many happy memories.
"Chelmsford City FC was the first football team I ever watched live, I went on to briefly be a steward at Melbourne Park when I was 15, I am really looking forward to coming home and telling stories.
I have always enjoyed making people laugh and after a few halfhearted attempts to get in stand-up I got a break just over a year ago, when I signed up to do a charity gig at The Glee Club in Birmingham. The gig was to raise money for Cancer Research UK and the room was packed with 350 people. Since then I have been doing much smaller shows, trying out new material.
"I do stand-up for a number of reasons, the main one of which is to challenge my fear of crowds. I also like to show the funny side to some not so funny experiences and ultimately I love making people happy.
"I am doing this show to raise money for MIND. The charity is very close to my heart, Mental Health awareness is so important in this day and age. I myself battle many insecurities and I want to show people that it is okay to speak up and talk about what keeps them down."
