Vic Keeble (1930-2018)

By Matt Lee

Chelmsford City Football Club is saddened to hear of the passing of Vic Keeble

Vic spent a number of years with Chelmsford City Football Club in administrative roles, first joining the Club in the late 1970’s.

Originally with Colchester United, for whom he played against City in the 1940’s, Vic went on to play for Newcastle United and West Ham United before having to retire through injury aged just 30.

Upon his retirement from playing he took up an administrative role with Colchester United before joining City to take over the running of the Club’s fundraising efforts. He later became the Club’s General Manager, whilst also undertaking the role of Secretary during his time at New Writtle Street.

All at Chelmsford City Football Club send their condolences to Vic’s family at this sad time.
