Supporters Club announce new sponsor

9 months ago By Matt Lee

Chelmsford City Supporters Club is delighted to introduce Essex Media Ltd as the new sponsors of the 12th Man Fund for the 2017/2018 season.

“I jumped at the chance to help Rod and the squad.” Nathan Martin, Founder & CEO

Essex Media Ltd, headquartered in Chelmsford, operates internationally creating conferences, exhibitions, seminars and webinars for global industries. Nathan Martin, Founder and CEO, is Chelmsford born and a lifelong fan of the football club. The Supporters Club committee are very grateful to Nathan for this exciting opportunity.

The deal will be worth a total of £18,000.00 over the 2017/2018 season enabling the supporters club to treble their monthly 12th Man Fund payments to the football club from £1,000.00 to £3,000.00 effective immediately. This will give Rod Stringer and the management team the opportunity to strengthen the squad in the coming weeks. As part of the deal, the 12th Man Fund will now be known as the 'Essex Media 12th Man Fund'.

At a meeting with Rod Stringer and the committee when the agreement was signed, Nathan Martin spoke of his delight at the agreement. “As a lifelong fan of Chelmsford City Football Club, I jumped at the chance to help Rod and the squad. The 12th Man Fund is the perfect way for fans to directly help the squad reach their true potential and I would like to thank the Supporters Club for this exciting opportunity.”

This season has the potential to be the most successful year ever for the Supporters Club as we have already beaten the amount of funding we raised last season. Although we are only a short way in to the new season, the committee once again have given absolutely everything and the hard work has been rewarded thanks to the phenomenal support from Essex Media Ltd and all of our members. I hope this is only the start of a long friendship with our new sponsor.
