Rod Stringer: "We think a lot about our supporters"

By Chris Berry

Manager, Rod Stringer caught up with Clarets TV to preview this weekend's tie against Woking FC.

“We want you to stay with the journey until it's over and we will see where it takes us.” Rod Stringer, Manager

The City gaffer had a message for our supporters ahead of the game:

"What I would like to ask our fans is to please get behind us" he said. "It's been a long season and hopefully things are going to get better very soon at the Club.

"I think it would be a great way for us to end the season with our fans getting behind us. I understand that our fans pay their money and you're all entitled to your opinions.

"Over the course of three seasons I've taken us to 3 cup finals, granted I've lost two of them now. Hopefully I'll be able to get us to the playoffs for a third season in a row as well. That's not easy to do.

"I hope our fans can keep their faith and I have to keep my faith in our fans getting behind us. You will all be very important for us on Saturday and we will need you to come out in numbers.

"We think a lot about our supporters." he continued. "We want you to stay with the journey until it's over and we will see where it takes us.

"I know that we didn't have a great run in the FA Cup or FA Trophy, but we're still in the firing range for promotion. There's a lot of Club's in our division that haven't got that chance.

"We're still on course for a possibility of getting out of this division and that why I want our fans to believe that overall it hasn't been a bad season, it's just been a bad week. I'm quite aware of that.

Tickets are still available to be purchased online at a discounted rate up to 8pm tonight on the Club’s online ticket website here.
