“It’s a big game for the Club but every game is at this level.”
The Clarets take a welcomed break from Vanarama National League South action after three consecutive draws was ended with a 2-1 home defeat to East Thurrock United on Monday night.
Daniel Green’s seventh-minute free-kick had given City a lead, but two quickfire goals from former Claret Max Cornhill consigned Chelmsford to a second home defeat of the season.
Chelmsford City continue to play without Michael Spillane (ankle), while Max Porter remains sidelined due to a toe injury sustained in pre-season. Jonny Giles and Shaun Batt could face returns to the squad having improved fitness, with the latter coming on as a substitute against the Rocks on Monday night.
Tom Hitchcock is also in contention for a full debut after making a cameo appearance from the bench on Monday after signing a few hours before kick-off.

Speaking ahead of the Clarets’ Emirates FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round match, City boss Rod Stringer said:
“I want to win the Emirates FA Cup and the League.” he jokingly said. “It’s a big game for the Club but every game is at this level. It’s become more about the prestige and money now but the bread and butter of your season is your League games.
“I am quite happy and pleased we have a break, to take some pressure of us. Since we went top we haven’t done well. We still have the best part of 30 games to go and we will be there or thereabouts or as Champions. I guarantee that. Monday wasn’t to be, we’ll reassess and maybe make a signing but we’re still a work in progress.”
Admission prices are as follows for Saturday’s match at the Melbourne Community Stadium:
Adults £13, Concessions £9, 12-17 year-olds £5, Under 11s Free.
