Clarets improve attack with signing

By User 490922

Chelmsford City Football Club have bolstered their attacking options with the additions of signing of Tom Hitchcock.

24-year-old Tom trialed with Football League side Port Vale in January 2017 following his release from MK Dons.

Hitchcock is yet to prove himself at National League South level, however the Blackburn Rovers’ youth player counts QPR, Bristol Rovers, Rotherham United and Stevenage as his previous clubs. The son of former Chelsea shot-stopper Kevin Hitchcock made 17 appearances on-loan at Bristol Rovers and found the net three times, while during his seven-game spell at Rotherham United he netted five times.

Tom enters the fray immediately and is in contention for a place in tonight’s squad against East Thurrock United.
