Clarets Bolster Squad

3 years ago By Adam May

THE CLARETS can confirm that Mason Bloomfield and Laurence Vaughan have joined Mark Hawkes’s squad ahead of Saturday’s match with St Albans City.

Bloomfield, pictured, who operates as a centre-forward, joins from Sky Bet League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge. The 18-year-old has also spent time on-loan at Chatham Town, Erith & Beldevere and, most latterly, Maldon Town. The young forward impressed the Daggers last season, featuring in the League and FA Youth Cup before being handed his First Team debut.

Meanwhile Vaughan, who can operate as a striker or on the wing, joins having been released from MK Dons in the summer, and featured prominently in their U18s squad last year, playing a key role in the Dons’ 5-4 victory over Newport County in the FA Youth Cup.

The Clarets would like to welcome both Mason and Laurence to the Club, and wish them a successful and enjoyable stay.
