Clarets add Worner to squad

By Matt Lee

Chelmsford City Football Club are delighted to welcome the arrival of goalkeeper Ross Worner from Sutton United.

The Clarets have agreed terms with the experienced goalkeeper ahead of a competitive season in the Vanarama National League South.

Filling the hole left by outgoing shot-stopper Sam Beasant, the former Aldershot ‘keeper has agreed terms to come to the Melbourne Community Stadium on a season-long loan deal from Vanarama National League side Sutton United.

The 2016-17 season saw the former AFC Wimbledon and Charlton Athletic shot-stopper feature heavily for Sutton United, featuring in-goal for the National League side's Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round tie against Premier League outfit Arsenal.

However, the arrival of Jamie Butler has since seen Worner drop down the pecking order at Gander Green Lane.

Everyone at Chelmsford City Football Club looks forward to welcoming Ross to the Melbourne Community Stadium for the upcoming season.
