Lapslie, 22, is a midfielder by trade and joins the Clarets on a month's loan from Sky Bet League One outfit Charlton Athletic.
The energetic player progressed from the Addicks' academy system into the first team and is currently enjoying his second year as a professional after signing a full-time contract during the 2016-17 season.
The former Under-18s captain led his youth side to the Professional Development League 2 National title prior to his first team call-up, becoming a regular for the development side as a right-back or in his more familiar central midfield position. His impressive performances led to interest from Premier League sides Leicester City and Chelsea.
Lapslie made his senior debut in the EFL Trophy against Crawley Town in August, netting his first senior goal at the same time.
The young midfielder will be available for selection for tomorrow's Vanarama National League South tie at home to Chippenham Town.
