Favourite City Player of All Time: John Devine
Best City Goal: Sorry, there are too many to choose from!
Favourite Game: Well that ain't hard! City vs Spurs for Colin Johnson's
Testimonial. You wonder why? Well I played in goal in the second half, let
in one and we lost 7-1 but it was a great night.
Quote: "Have you got the crate of beer on the coach yet, Whitey?
Had some great times on the away trips, never a dull moment. I have so many
memories, too many to list, but one in particular was the walk to Hastings
from Welling. We got there and the game got called off! Good luck you
Clarets! Up the City."
Jon Read

1975
Favourite City Player of All Time: Frank Peterson
Best City Goal: Peter 'big nose' Taylor (vs Corby - away
in 1986). He was a different class that night. His second goal

scenes ever.

Favourite City Player of All Time: My namesake Tony R and I always liked
Colin Lewington.
Best City Goal: So many! Terry Cordice's thunderbolt in a 10-3

win against Ashford around 1990.
Favourite Game: 7-6 at Farnborough and, in the same season, a 6-1

gave us a 1-0 win.
Favourite Game: vs Bashley in 1999/2000. We won 10-1 and Ben Fuller

John Taylor

Favourite City Player of All Time: Dennis Greene
Best City Goal: Any of Billy Goldstone's thunderbolts (most memorable
was Mark 'Kipper' Kane's in the F.A. Cup against Enfield)
Favourite Game: vs Barnet (away). 2-2, again in the F.A. Cup. Also the

Supported City Since: 1968
Favourite City Player of All Time: Peter Taylor (A true
pro)
Best City Goal: Billy Goldstone (vs Dartford, away, 1990)
Favourite Game: vs Weymouth (F.A. Cup). I did a spying
mission on Weymouth a few nights beforehand and reported back
to Joe O'Sullivan. I said that that if we could mark Tony Agana
and a certain half-Italian chap out of the game then we would
have a chance. Bob Makin duly had Agana tied up in knots for
most the game, one of his best games in a City shirt.

Favourite City Player of All Time: Mitchell Springett
was the first City player I saw score, but of those I've seen
I'll have to say Dennis Greene. He always scored when I saw him
play.
Best City Goal: Too many to recall, but the winner against V.S Rugby
that got us into the F.A. Cup proper has to be up there! Not just for quality,
but for enjoyment.
Favourite Game: Probably the V.S Rugby game, though I also remember
a 0-0 from the early 90's, which is the best 0-0 I've ever seen.
