PEN PICTURES - FORWARDS
Ricky HOLMES - Diminutive striker aged 20, who burst onto the scene in November 2005 following his elevation from the reserve side. Previously connected with Millwall and Southend United he played for Southend Manor in the Essex Senior League before linking with City. A stream of Football League scouts have watched the youngster who scored 15 goals in 50 appearances last season.
Jason HALLETT – Just 21 years of age Hallett scored 9 goals for Canvey Island in 32 Conference appearances last season before opting to follow Manager Jeff King to Chelmsford during the summer of 2006. Injured in his first appearance in a City shirt he missed the rest of pre season and was injured again early in the season. A tough uncompromising striker who looks set for a bright future. Scored 13 goals in 48 appearances last season, of which 31 were substitute appearances. Suffered a serious injury in August and is unlikely to play again his season.
James LAWSON – Skilful striker who is currently on loan from Blue Square National side Grays Athletic. 20 years of age he joined Southend United straight form school. During his two years with the Roots Hall club he made 30 first team appearances as well as spending time on loan at Grimsby Town, Bournemouth and Dagenham and Redbridge. Released by Southend United he joined Grays during the summer of 2007
